What happens if something goes wrong

Almost nothing ever does. Here is who handles your laundry, what every order is covered for, and exactly what to do on the rare day it matters.

Who actually washes it

Your laundry goes to one of two shops we own and run: Margate Laundry on Royal Palm Boulevard, and Boca LaundryMax on NE 20th Street. We have run them for fifteen years.

It is not handed to a stranger, and it is not washed in somebody else's house. It is our machines, our shop and our name on the van — which is the whole reason we can tell you where your laundry is at any hour of the day.

How we handle it

Your bags are counted at your door, and you get an email saying how many we took.
Your order is tagged at pickup and kept apart from every other order.
Whites and colours are washed separately, as you would at home.
Unscented and hypoallergenic detergent whenever you ask for it, at no charge.
Weighed at the laundromat, in front of the scale we bill from. You pay for what it weighs.
Counted again at your door on the way back, and you get a second email saying how many we handed over.

Those two bag counts are the record. If the number that came back is not the number that left, both of us can see it the same day rather than arguing about it three weeks later.

What every order is covered for

Every order carries cover at no charge. You can raise the limit when you book, and the price is per order, not per month.

Up to $50 for any one item, and up to $300 across the whole order.

Most chosen

Up to $100 for any one item, and up to $500 across the whole order.

Up to $150 for any one item, and up to $1,000 across the whole order.

If something is lost or damaged

Call (954) 699-3172 and tell us what happened. You will be speaking to the person who owns the shop, not a queue.

Tell us as soon as you notice — the sooner we hear, the more of the trail is still there to follow: the bag counts, the driver's photos, and the load itself, which has usually not gone far.

We would rather put it right than argue about it. Fifteen years in two shops in South Florida is not a business that survives being difficult about a ruined shirt.

In short

We wash it ourselves, in our own shops. We count your bags in front of you and again at your door. Every order is covered, and you can raise that when you book. And if it goes wrong, the phone number goes to the owner.
